Katrina M. Washington

Born in New York, raised in Arlington, Texas, Katrina earned a full academic scholarship to the University of Houston, where she earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with a focus on Marketing. After college, Katrina returned to Dallas/Fort Worth and entered Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.

In law school, Katrina excelled in the classroom and in the courtroom, earning a coveted clerkship with the Washington D.C. Public Defender’s Office, and acceptance into the Moot Court Honor Society. Katrina also served as President of the Student Bar Association and Treasurer of the Texas Wesleyan University School of Law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity.

After law school, Katrina began her practice with a local law firm specializing in criminal
defense. Katrina’s criminal defense experience includes: DWI, Aggravated Assault & Theft. In addition to criminal law, Katrina maintains an active family law practice.

Despite her demanding law practice, Katrina remains active in the community. She currently serves as a Fort Worth Teen Court Judge and Treasurer of the Tarrant County Black Bar Association. Katrina also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate with Child Advocates of Tarrant County
